Cronkhite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/cronkhite_amy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8332\" \/>Amy S. Cronkhite died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the age of 70. She was born August 16, 1949 in St. Johns the daughter of Glenn and Mildred (Zischke) Magsig. Amy was a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, Class of 1967 and continued her education by becoming a Registered Nurse.   During her working career, she was a nurse at several locations in Mid-Michigan including, Sparrow Hospital, Sparrow Clinton Hospital and Hazel Findlay Country Manor to name a few.  On February 17, 1973 she married Bruce Cronkhite and he survives her.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving is a daughter, Jessica (Mike) Demianenko; grandchildren, Zach, Nick and Alyssa; sister, Kathy (Lon) Canum; brother Charlie (Rosemary) Magsig; mother-in-law, Connie Cronkhite; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Cronkhite, Cathy (Gary) Caskey, Dean (Sarah) Cronkhite; special friends, Bea Goodrich and Judy Boak and many nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Richard Cronkhite; sister-in-law, Dale Cronkhite and special friend, Irene Damon.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the restrictions on gatherings, private services will be held and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorials be given to a charity of donor\u2019s choice. The family was assisted with these arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Mary A. Lutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Lutes_trix.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8338\" \/>Mary A. Lutes \u201cTrix\u201d, 79 went to her eternal home Wednesday April 15, 2020 at Hope Healthcare in Fort Myers Florida.<\/p>\n<p>She was born in Alton, Illinois on September 6, 1940, to John A. and Eleanor E. (Reiger) Drexelius.  She lived much of her life in Alton, followed by a short period in Greenville until life took her and the family up to St. Johns, Michigan.  She spent many years employed at the Clinton County Courthouse in St. Johns up until she retired.  After retirement she spent many winters in Panama City Beach Florida up until a recent move to North Fort Myers Florida and her summers were always spent in South Haven Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived and will be sadly missed and forever loved by her husband Ray of North Fort Myers Florida, son Joe of Brighton Michigan, daughter Amy of Avon, Colorado; her daughter-in-law Jennifer, son-in-law Scott; her 4 grandchildren Megan, Morgan, Seth and Alayna; nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews; other extended family and many dear friends in Illinois, Michigan and Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Joan Drexelius and Bonita \u201cBonnie\u201d Boyles and her brother-in-law, Bob Boyles.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the current virus situation a celebration of life will be planned for the future.  In the meantime, when you watch a sunset, have a drink at happy hour, play a game of cards think of Trix. When you laugh, hug and appreciate your friends and family think of Trix.  Cheers to the joy that Trix brought when she was around and cheers to her life filled with love and laughter that carried over to all who knew her.  She was indeed one in a million.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>June A. Sipkovsky<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/sipkovsky_june.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8265\" \/>June A. (Shaull) Sipkovsky, 95, of St. Johns, went to be with her Lord on Sunday April 19, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>June was born on June 21, 1924 in North Star, MI to Hal and Elva (Simmons) Shaull.  She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1942.  On May 5, 1950 June married the love of her life Louie Sipkovsky who preceded her in death on September 23, 1999.<\/p>\n<p>June was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns.  She worked at the former Carol Ann Shop in St. Johns for 30 years alongside her dear friend and sister-in- law Maxine Sipkovsky. She was also a member of the St. Sylvia Guild, Clinton Sparrow Hospital Auxiliary, Farm Bureau, The Child Study Club, and also took part in several cancer drives that took place in her neighborhood.  June also loved baseball, and was the scorekeeper for the Ashley baseball team of the Gratiot County baseball league that her husband managed for over 50 years.  She very much enjoyed country music and loved to dance.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her daughter Paula (Robert) Andrews of Leesburg Florida; sons: Michael (Shirley) Sipkovsky of Perry; and Patrick (Kelly) Sipkovsky of St. Johns; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren that she loved very much. She is also survived by one brother Richard (Bernie) Shaull of Lincoln Park. Also surviving is sister-in-law Ruth Shaull of North Star along with several nieces and nephews and her special friend Dorothy Rosekrans. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Ronald, Robert, Raymond, Don and Fred Shaull and 2 sisters: Ruth Newton and Elogene Cowdrey.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, with Rev. Father Michael Williams presiding, with burial following at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sparrow Clinton Hospital or the St. Joseph Catholic School Educational Fund in memory of June.  The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> \u2013 Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Nicholas Kurncz<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Kurncz_-Nick.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8260\" \/>Nicholas \u201cNick\u201d Kurncz, age 88, of St. Johns passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 due to his third battle with cancer. Nick was born March 30, 1932 in St. Johns, the youngest son of Mike and Anna (Porada) Kurncz. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1951. He attended Michigan State College and received his degree in agriculture. He entered into the Korean War with the US Army on May 8, 1953 and completed his service in 1955.<\/p>\n<p>Nick worked at Federal Mogul Corporation in St. Johns for 40 years and retired in 1997. He loved farming especially raising peppermint and spearmint. He was also a handyman and could fix pretty much anything that came his way. He was an avid reader and really enjoyed eating hamburgers. Nick was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic church in St. Johns and was an usher for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3281. He married Christine (Jorae) Kurncz on November 19, 1966 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns and she survives him.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving is a son, Nick M. (Rachel) Kurncz of St. Johns and a daughter, Tammy (Don) Wright of Ovid; four grandchildren, Nick L. Kurncz (special friend Melissa), Hannah Kurncz (special friend Brandon), Logan and Alex Wright; sister-in-law, Marion Kurncz along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mike and Ann Kurncz, John and Helen Kurncz and Peter Kurncz.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the current social gathering restrictions a private service will be held. Nick\u2019s family is planning to celebrate his life with a memorial mass at a later date. Military honors will be provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family was assisted with these arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Rachael E. Watson-Zell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/zell_rachel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8256\" \/>Rachael E. Watson-Zell, 44, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 16, 2020 as the result of a brain bleed. She was born December 5, 1975 in Lansing, MI and was a graduate of St. Johns, High School, Class of 1994.<\/p>\n<p>She was very involved with the St. Johns High School Dance Team.  Rachael was an active school volunteer for her children and loved spending time with family and friends.  Rachael was most successful in being a mom, loving without expecting anything in return, and never judging the actions of others.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving is her life partner, Joe Thelen; three daughters, Ryleigh Zell, Olivia Thelen and Alayna Thelen; parents, Mike and Maggie (Kuntz) Watson; brother, Ryan Watson, sisters, Erikka (Jason) Hafner and Kelsey (Brian) Lytle; step-sisters, Stacy and Jessica Watson; Godson, Breck Matthew Lytle and father-in-law, Alan Thelen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anthony and Mary Agnes Kuntz, Earl and Myra Watson, uncle and god-father, Norbert Kuntz and mother-in-law, Sandra Thelen.<\/p>\n<p>Following Rachael\u2019s wishes cremation has taken place and a visitation and memorial service will be held at a later date once social gathering numbers have increased.  Rachael\u2019s family would like to thank the St. Johns and Fowler communities for their outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
