Reminder<\/strong> – St. Johns fireworks show cancelled<\/p>\n

Just a reminder that the Rotary fireworks show in St. Johns has been cancelled due to the Corona Virus. They hope to be able to bring you a show next year when hopefully this virus has been contained.<\/p>\n

Organizers hope everyone still has a very happy 4th of July, despite the virus.<\/p>\n

St. Johns personal fireworks regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is just a reminder regarding fireworks and when they are legal to use in the City.<\/p>\n

Per state law, fireworks can be ignited between 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 p.m. on June 29-30 and July 1-4. If you choose to light up the sky, please do so safely.<\/p>\n

Farmers Market open on the 4th<\/strong><\/p>\n

The St. Johns Farmers Market open on the fourth of July from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Market is open every Saturday through October. It is located on Maple Ave. on the west side of the Courthouse.<\/p>\n

Clinton Transit Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Clinton Transit will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the 4th of July holiday.<\/p>\n

Clinton Transit will continue fare free rides through July, 2020 to help the community get re-connected to services.<\/p>\n

You can also choose to visit places that share, post, or announce that they have increased cleaning and disinfection to protect others from COVID-19.<\/p>\n

How to participate in curbside pickup: Patrons will be able to get library materials using our curbside pickup service beginning Monday, June 8. Patrons will not be allowed inside the building to select materials at this time.<\/p>\n

Procedure<\/em><\/p>\n

1. Place a hold on library materials. There are 3 was to place a hold:
\n– A. Search our online catalog at briggs.agverso.com<\/font><\/a>
\n– B. Call 989-224-4702 — select option 1 to leave a message
\n– C. Send an email to briggscurbsidepickup@gmail.com<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n

2. Library staff will contact you to set up a pickup time when your materials are available<\/p>\n

3. When you arrive at the library, use one of the designated parking spaces and call 989-224-4702<\/p>\n

4. Remain in your vehicle. Library staff will bring out your materials and place them in your vehicle. If you have items to return, staff will collect them at this time<\/p>\n

SJHS Auto Program to host cruise July 18<\/strong><\/p>\n

The St. Johns High School Auto Program is pleased to announce we will be hosting a cruise on Saturday, July 18.<\/p>\n

Everyone was extremely disappointed in having to postpone the 50th Anniversary Car Show, so what better way to cure our COVID woes than social distance with a cruise?<\/p>\n

The cruise will begin at the high school and travel through Ovid (3:50), Laingsburg (4:05), Bath (4:30), DeWitt (4:45), Eagle (5:10), Westphalia (5:15), Pewamo (5:25), Fowler (5:40) and return to St Johns.<\/p>\n

Participants will line up at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Johns High School Parking Lot, or you may join in along the route.
\nThe Cruise will roll out at 3:30 sharp. The tour will travel approximately 90 miles in two and one half hours. The only cost is your time and fuel<\/p>\n

Local law enforcement will be patrolling our route – Drive slowly, Quietly, Safely!<\/p>\n

Upon return, please patronize the many food and ice cream establishments St. Johns has to offer.<\/p>\n

The 50th Anniversary Celebration has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2021.<\/p>\n
