As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the St. Johns Schools Foundation for Excellence (FFE) announces the search for a new logo. The contest is open to all students who are currently enrolled in one of the St. Johns public schools.
The winner of the logo contest will receive a $100 gift card to Michaels craft supply store. In addition, the winner will receive the honor of having his or her design used for all future FFE materials such as letterhead, brochures, website and, most notably, the FFE academic award t-shirts. These t-shirts are presented each year to 5th through 12th grade St. Johns Public School students for various academic achievements.

The FFE board is looking for a new logo that is clear, concise and printable for various purposes. The design should be easily reproducible, not an elaborate drawing. The theme of the new FFE logo is “Excellence.” Though this is the FFE’s 25th anniversary, the logo will be used for many years to come and should reflect this timelessness. Logos can be digitally produced or hand drawn, but the colors should be limited to one or two which can be changed depending on what the logo will be printed upon.
By entering the contest, the student understands that the winner must agree to sign a release form allowing the FFE to use the logo for all its future materials. Furthermore, the winner will be photographed with his or her design for promotional purposes. or to view logo criteria information.
To enter, the student should include his or her name, address, phone number, email address (if applicable), school name and grade. The student should submit this information along with his or her design to sjexcellence@gmail.com with the words “Logo Contest” in the subject line. If submitting a printed copy, the student should drop it off at either the middle or high school addressed to “Art Teacher, FFE Logo Contest.” Any questions about the contest can also be directed to sjexcellence@gmail.com. Designs and contact information must be received by 4 p.m. on November 1, 2010. The winner will be notified by December 1, 2010.
