Theme of Arts Council demonstration
As a prelude to a children’s arts class later in the month, a demonstration in the use of pastels is scheduled for Thursday October 14 from 6:30 to 8p at the Clinton County Arts Council. Local artist Tom Tomasek will conduct the session, designed to acquaint fledgling (or experienced) pastel users with the properties of the media and to assist in expanding the skill of pastel use.
The special demonstration, which may run beyond the schedule two hours, is open to anyone – children or adults – interested in learning more about the technique and application of pastel painting. Youngsters attending Tomasek’s demonstration may use the experience in preparation for a children’s painting class scheduled for Saturday October 23. The later class will be held at the Depot location and more details on that session will be announced.
