The gift shop at Sparrow Clinton Hospital is aglow with holiday specialties heralding the upcoming season. A group of auxilians recently returned from a Chicago buying trip in preparation for the busy days before Christmas and samples of their purchases are already on display. Cindy Knight, Carol Keys, Sam Hopko and Kim Kellogg were ready to unpack and present the festive pieces.
Hospital Auxiliary Part of Chamber Craft Show, Tree Fest
Again this year, members of Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary will participate in the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce eighth annual Christmas Festival set for Saturday Dec. 4. As in previous times, the schedule of events include not only special holiday sales, but also Breakfast with Santa, Festival of Trees, a craft show and Children’s Make It and Take It crafts.
Kathie Clock, fund raising chairman for the auxiliary, explained that proceeds from all hospital gift shop sales ultimately benefit the hospital. “While our primary purpose is to assist the hospital in acquiring patient care needs, we look forward to joining the Chamber each year in this festive event. We not only share the spirit of the season, but expand our endeavors community wide.”
Clock along with Chery Goff, Nancy Moore and Judy Minner, completed the trip to Chicago to purchase holiday specialty items for Sparrow Clinton Hospital gift shop and the upcoming Chamber of Commerce Christmas Festival.
