Save time and create customized labels for mailing newsletters, invitations or other mass mailings! It’s easy to use mail merge features in Microsoft Office to produce creative or professional labels and envelopes! In “Easy Labels for Mass Mailings” you’ll learn to use electronic address lists you already have, or create a new mailing list. Add a picture for a customized look. We’ll show you how with hands-on activities! Join us on December 2, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
“Extraordinary Customer Service” – and repeat business – is just an attitude away! Learn how to add value to your service, build long-term relationships with your customers, and realize greater returns on your investment in your employees and your customers. Scheduled for December 3 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Bentley Campus.
“Intermediate QuickBooks 2010” is a two-part workshop that prepares you to create company files, use and accept credit cards, and to perform more advanced tasks in receivables, payables, inventory, and payroll. Students must have basic bookkeeping or accounting experience and be familiar with basic QuickBooks tasks. Scheduled on December 7 and 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Bentley Campus.
Designed specifically for seniors (55+), “Senior Savvy: Managing Files on your PC” focuses on how and where to save and organize files on your computer. Save time and eliminate frustration by learning how to create folders to organize your files; save, copy and move files and folders; how to use CDs and flash drives to store documents and pictures; and how to find help on your computer. Novice computer users are welcome! (Cost includes a 2 GB Flash drive and a writable CD.) Scheduled for December 9 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bentley Campus.
December workshops also include a variety of Microsoft Office programs to help support your business and home activities. Workshops include keyboarding, Intermediate and Advanced levels of Word and Excel 2007, and Advanced Publisher. Baker offers Negotiation Skills Training
Baker College of Owosso is offering a new workshop on effective negotiating skills for business professionals on December 15 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Through “Essentials of Contract Negotiation”, your business team will develop their negotiation skills to achieve success in both business and life. Effective negotiating tools and skills will renew one’s confidence and enhance the abilities of sales professionals, buyers, corporate leaders, managers, financial officers, and CEOs! This interactive workshop will engage participants in instruction, group activity, and role play as our expert negotiator shares important tips on negotiating and drafting sound business contracts and techniques for handling other business situations.
