CCH annual Lights of Love campaign

With the holiday season already here, the Carson City Hospital Auxiliary (CCHA) announces that its 24th annual Lights of Love campaign is currently underway.
“Lights of Love is a wonderful way we can remember not only those special people who have passed away, but also those special people who touch our lives every day,” said CCHA member Donna June Crumbaugh. “Donations can be made in honor of parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, military personnel, special teachers, friends, doctors, or any other person you believe would appreciate a kind thought during this celebrated time of year.”
Donation amounts begin at $10. Again this year, the CCHA has placed its dramatic, 16-foot Christmas tree in the front lobby of the hospital, where the donated lights will be showcased. All donations will go toward various projects and requests for special items the CCHA receives to improve care for patients.
According to Crumbaugh, contributions from previous Lights of Love campaigns have totaled almost $60,000. “These wonderful donations have all been used to benefit Carson City Hospital and all those served by it,” she said.
On Monday, Dec. 20, the annual Lights of Love ceremony will be held in the hospital lobby at 6:30 p.m. Events will include the candlelight dedication ceremony and refreshments. The community is invited.
To participate in the campaign and recognize a special individual in your life, donation envelopes are available at several of the Carson City Hospital clinics and departments.
