Each Monday the Clinton County Senior Center holds a 2-hour Euchre Tournament. The center invites anyone down that enjoys the game – you do not have to be a Senior Citizen. And, you don’t have to bring a partner – each game you play with a new partner as you move from table to table.
The Tournaments will be from 1-3 pm on Dec 13 and Dec 27. If you eat lunch at the center before the tournament the cost to play is only $1. If you come just for the Euchre, the cost is $1.50. Meals those dates are Breakfast Brunch (eggs, pancakes, sausage, etc) on the 13th and Macaroni and Cheese (with vegetable, roll, salad, etc) on the 27th. The meals are $5, or $6.50 with homemade pie. The center also serves a soup for $1.50 and sandwich and chips for $2.
On Dec 6 and Dec 20 the tournaments will be in the evening from 6:30-8:30 pm. The cost at night is $2.
The Tournaments are for fun, but if you are the best player of the tournament you will win your money back. These events are just a great way to spend a couple hours and get to know a few new people.
The Senior Center is located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns (the old Fifth Third Bank Building on the corner of Spring and Walker, just a block north of M21). If you have any questions about the Euchre Tournaments or other activities at the Senior Center, call Gary Carpenter at 989-224-4257.
