Hayden is one awesome little girl who has a very sweet personality.
When you first meet her, she might act shy and reserved and reluctant for your attention but once she gets to know you, she is more than ready to greet you and to cuddle near you if you are sitting down. She may even acknowledge you with a big husky smile if she really likes you.
If you have other dogs, she is no problem with them and she even lived with a cat in her previous home. She does fine with small children but usually ignores them and hasn’t actually lived with any. Because she is tentative about new humans, she shouldn’t go to a home with really young children but she should be fine with visiting ones.
Hayden does often “go deaf” when you call her so we will require a fenced yard for her new home. Besides, with her breed combination, she is likely to take off running if she got the chance since sight hounds and huskies are notorious for loving to run.
While Hayden can run and play somewhat outdoors, in the house she is definitely a “couch potato”. She loves the cuddle beds of the smaller dogs and since she always curls up in a ball to sleep, she fits quite well in the medium size ones. She loves bedtime and often curls up on the end of the bed but some nights she prefers to sleep on the dog beds on the floor.
Hayden is very slender and it would be nice if she gained a few pounds but her health seems to be excellent so she just might be one of those lucky girls who can eat whatever she wants and doesn’t put on a pound!
