Thank you, Reagan Republicans remembered and What is a Mommy?
Thank you from Lioness Club for Easter Egg Hunt
The Annual St. Johns Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, April 23rd. The day started out cool and gray but around noon the clouds parted and the sun came out to illuminate the colorful collage of Easter Eggs just waiting for the kids to come and pick them up. The star of the day, the Easter Bunny, arrives and the kids can’t wait to have their picture taken. A wonderful day and a good time was had by all who attended.

The St. Johns Lioness Club give a special thank you to Uncle John’s Cider Mill, St. Johns Lions Club, St. Johns Kiwanis Club, City of St. Johns for the use of the Park, M & M Restaurant Supply, St. Johns Mini Storage, Koenigsknecht Family Dentistry, Allaby & Brewbaker, Gary Lenneman for Edward Jones, David A. “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.” Ronald Reagan said this after he left the Democratic party in 1962 to go forward to become the greatest Republican president of our times.
Sometimes I scratch my head and wonder, would Ronald Reagan be proud of, or even be able to recognize today’s Republican party in the state of Michigan?
Just about every Republican voter that I meet tells me the same exact thing. They are sick and tired of electing Republicans who go to our state capital and immediately revert back to business as usual.
Just like me, these once proud Republicans that I speak with all want to see waste being cut, out of control spending being reigned in, family values being honored, and they want to see our state return to prosperity so our children and grandchildren won’t have to move elsewhere to earn a livable wage.
I also agree with another quote from Ronald Reagan when he wisely said that, “Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem.”
We need to return to electing classical fiscal conservatives who will stand up for Michigan and move us forward into a prosperous future in a society that honors the right to life and traditional family values. Those are the precise values that Ronald Reagan, myself, and all good true Republicans hold dear.
Let us never again be hoodwinked into electing anyone who calls themselves a Republican who doesn’t share our genuine conservative vision for the future.

What is a Mom?
A mom is just a figure who is a normal person.
Not being rude, but it is true.
But a “mommy”…well that is a whole other story.
A mommy is someone who can be loved, trusted and counted on.
A mommy is always there for her daughter.
A mommy is a hero in disguise –with her coffee and cell phone.
A mommy is a mommy…enough said!
But my mommy, she is different because she knows me. That, alone, makes my mommy the ultimate mommy…and she is mine!
