Katherine Kelley
Katherine Kelley, was called home to be with the Lord, October 5, 2011, at the age of 84. Born October 20, 1926, in Fowler, Michigan. The daughter of Julian and Clara (Dalton) Perrien. She was an active member of the United Church of Ovid. Katherine was devoted to her family, loved flowers, gardening and was a wonderful cook.
Katherine is survived by her daughters, Linda (Rod) McCreery, Marie (Butch) Mohre, sons, Adrian Huss, Albert Huss, step-children, Arthur (Karen) Kelley, Janet Magsig, Carol (Pete) Darling, sister, Therese Perrien, brother, Edward (Therese) Perrien, 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Adrian Huss and Arthur Kelley, as well as her, sons, Delbert and Baby Huss, grandson, Jacob McCreery, sisters, Donna Weber, Jeannie Thornton, and brothers, Julian Perrien and Lyle Perrien.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011, at The Houghton Chapel of The Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid, with Pastor Greg Buchner officiating burial at Washington Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice.

Matthew James Weber
Matthew James “The Wall” Weber, age 35, of Elsie, MI passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI, on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mona Dye officiating. Burial will take place at Union Home Cemetery, Clinton County, MI. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 PM with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
Matthew was born on July 18, 1976 in Carson City, MI, the son of James Harold and Shari Lynn (Sigafoose) Weber. Matthew worked at Walmart in St. Johns since 2008. He formerly worked at Lear Corporation until their closure. He had extensive retail experience including Krogers of St. Johns for almost 10 years and Kmart.
He is survived by his mother Shari Weber and Rod Swanchara of Elsie, MI, father James Weber of St. Johns, MI, brother Jessee Weber and Cara Lehman of St. Johns, MI, half sister Jessica Messer of Baraga, MI, grandmother Arlene Sigafoose of Bannister, MI, aunt Shelly Sigafoose of Bannister, MI, aunt Sandra and Tim Anderson of Karnack, TX, aunt Sandy Sigafoose of Harrison, MI, uncle Steve Sigafoose of Bannister, MI, uncle Wayne and Delores Weber of Drummond Island, MI, uncle Dick Weber of Fowler, uncle Leo and Fran Weber of St. Johns, MI, aunt Darlene Roberts of St. Johns, MI, and niece Alena Weber of St. Johns, MI. He was predeceased by his grandfather Evert Sigafoose, grandparents Melvin and Ilene Weber, uncles; Roger and Gary Sigafoose, aunt Virginia Weber, and cousins; Christopher Sigafoose and Corey Bearden.

Alan R. Woodbury
Alan R. Woodbury, died September 28, 2011, at the age of 74. Born in St. Johns, on October 9, 1936, the son of Charley and Lulu (Ritter) Woodbury. He married Joy Bigelow in Memphis, TN, on February 2, 1959, and she survives him. Alan was a retiree from General Motors.
Also surviving are daughters, Julie (Terry Brunner) Woodbury and Cindy (Kenneth) Clark, grandchildren, Joshua Woodbury, Jill (Phil) Lee, Andrew (Sheri) Heathman and Kenneth and Calvin Clark, step grandson, Trevor Brunner and great grandchildren, Alan and Ashlynn Lee, sisters, Marilyn (Hubert) Waite and Linda (Elvin) Wieber and brothers Gerald and Chan Woodbury. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan R. Woodbury, Jr., his parents, sister, Marjorie Marecek and brothers, Vern and Norman.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011, at Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, burial following at Union Home Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Prange officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shaun David Schreiner
Shaun David Schreiner, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the age of 32. Born June 9, 1979, in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Louis Schreiner and Dawn Nidini. Shaun enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing on his x-box, spending time with his friends, listening to music, traveling and playing cards.
Shaun is survived by his parents, Louis (Kathy) Schreiner of Bannister, mother, Dawn Nidini of Missouri, brother, Jason (Michelle) Schreiner of Greenville, sister, Hanna Schreiner of Bannister, special friend, Sherri Muscott, step-brother, Robert Thompson of Alma, nephews, Colton and Dakota Schreiner, and niece, Shalynn Schreiner as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Marie Schreiner, and LeRoy and Marlus Nidini.
A graveside service will be held, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Riverside Cemetery in Elsie.
The family was served by The Osgood Funeral Homes.
Vienna E. Parker
Vienna E. Parker, 10, of St. Johns died September 9, 2011. Vienna was born on April 17, 2001 in St. Petersburg, FL the daughter of Martin and Kathleen (Dahlquist) Parker. She had attended Ashley Public Schools and currently was a student at Gateway School in St. Johns.
Memorial services for Vienna will be held at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating.
James L. Sjoberg
James L. Sjoberg, 64 of St. Johns died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Sparrow Hospital. James was born on November 13, 1946 in Escanaba, MI. He was a veteran of the US Army Aviation Corp. and worked as a labor consultant for the UAW at General Motors. On Sept. 12, 1966 he married Iyla G. Blakeslee in Lansing, MI. Jim enjoyed golfing, was District Chair of the Democratic Party for 20 years and County Chair for 25 years. He served on the St. Johns School Board, the College of Electors in 1992 and 1996. Jim enjoyed his grandchildren, traveling and he and Iyla celebrated 45 years of marriage by going on a Caribbean Cruse in 2011.
Survived by his wife Iyla; sons Steven (Amy) Sjoberg of DeWitt, MI, Eric Sjoberg of Puyallup, WA and Allen (Michelle Tenlen) of St. Johns; grandchildren, Courtney, Blake, Austin, Bailey, Abby and Brady and sister Susan (Richard Thiede) Penl of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Arthur Sjoberg.
Funeral services will be held at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Kenneth Bremer officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, September 25, 2011, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
