Mint City Singers to perform Sunday

October 16
The Mint City Singers will perform a range of songs, from “What a Wonderful World” to classics of Mozart (Ave Verum Corpus) and Thomas Tallis (If Ye Love Me).
Soloists and instrumentalists round out the program, but the highlight will be the premier of By His Stripes, commissioned from Michigan composer Andy Francis, with combined singers and chime choir of St. Johns Lutheran Church.
The Mint City Singers were formed this summer under the direction of Marcus Roll, a graduate of St. Johns High School.
The concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 16 at St. Johns Lutheran Church located at 511 E. Sturgis Street in St. Johns.
Refreshments to follow. Free will donation.
