Commissioners combine Clerk and Register of Deeds offices
In a 6-1 vote today the County Board of Commissioners decided to combine the offices of Clerk and Register of Deeds. It will be effective with this year’s election.
I will continue to serve as Register of Deeds through December of this year. So, for now, nothing changes.
The Register of Deeds will continue to offer excellent service and move forward on improvements and initiatives.
While our opinions on the decision to combine the offices may differ, we are one county and will move forward in a positive direction.
