Bingham township resident Mike Trebesh made a large donation to the Tri-Counry Office On Aging Meals On Wheels program on Friday July 13th. Mike’s dad, Robert Trebesh, was served by meals on wheels before he passed away on July 18th, 2005.
Mike has a lot of fond memories about his dad and meals on wheels volunteers. Mike said his dad would not make any appointment during the lunch hour because he was expecting the nice people (he called them angels) from Meals On Wheels.
As the seven year anniversary of Robert Trebesh is approaching, Mike Trebesh wanted to show his appreciation to Meals On Wheels and its volunteers. “The best thing I can do is to make a donation to this great organization and enable them to serve more people like my dad.”
Carrie Hartenburg, Supervisor of the Clinton County Meals On Wheels program, who received the check said,” It is great to know Mr. Trebesh still remembers them after 7 years.”
The program has a need for more volunteers in the Dewitt and Ovid area.
