What do I think?

I’m always trying to improve the electronic devices I have so when I found out that Amazon had a new Power Charger for my Kindle Fire I ordered it. The charger that came with my Kindle takes three to four hours to charge so anything that works faster was welcomed.
The charger only cost ten bucks and the shipping was free because I also ordered a Christmas gift for our youngest granddaughter. When it came I was surprised there was no cord (interface) with it but I’d already purchased one so I could download some information from my desktop computer like my e-mail contact list.
I plugged it in that night and the next morning my Kindle Fire was acting up. It came on and then went off a couple of times and then it wouldn’t come up at all. I assumed I fried it.
I also noticed the battery level was way low so I plug it into the other charger. It finally came up but things were changed. The books were listed in reverse order and all my apps wouldn’t open, in particular, Solitaire. I use that to take a break from reading. I hated to do this but I ended up calling Amazon support.
I clicked on the icon to have them call me in five minutes and true to their word they did. After explaining what happened she walked me through the Kindle reset. Hold the power button for twenty-seconds she said, so I did. Then I turned it back on. She asked me what was showing in the upper-left hand corner and I told her, Barry’s Kindle, my first Kindle that I gave to Renee. Right away she knew what was wrong. It should have been Barry’s 2nd Kindle. She walked me through unsubscribe and then subscribe. It took me a while to get it right but no matter what she told me it kept coming up the same.
She sent me on to another young lady and I swear she walked me through the same procedure only this time it worked. Maybe it was because my finger loosened up and I was typing better. If I had to take my typing class in high school on one of these things I would have failed.
I asked her about the new Powerfast charger and she said I should be able to use it. I thanked her and we hung up. I had my Kindle Fire back and it only took forty-five minutes! I decided to use the Powerfast charger that night hoping that if something went wrong again all the instructions from those two young ladies would still be fresh in my mind. It charged the battery and everything was all right in the morning.
Was it a glitch, a spike, or an anomaly, or a UFO? I have no idea but I hope it doesn’t do that to me again. I came out of this impressed with Kindle support.

I didn’t tape the Vice-Presidential debate because if it was based on the facts I figured Paul Ryan could handle it. I wasn’t counting on that particular Joe Biden showing up. Apparently his advisors told him to try to disrupt Paul Ryan by interrupting him or by just simply laughing at everything Ryan said. That night the legend of “Laughin’ Joe Biden” was born. What a joke Laughing Joe played on the American people. I wouldn’t call the last three and one-half years a laughing matter. Nor is what happened at the American Consulate in Libya a laughing matter. Remember, Oblama called it a “bump in the road.” Joe’s probably still laughing . . . sad.

And Furthermore:
Remember what they say, “Power corrupts.” I’m seeing a lot of that right now.
I have trouble with people sending me viruses with my daughter’s names on the e-mail only with a different e-mail address. Now I have to check the address first before opening.
It’s a well known fact that Oblama has banned the use of the word, terrorist, by his administration. He doesn’t want to offend the Muslims. That’s why he’ll never use that word to describe what happened in Benghazi and so far he hasn’t. He just talked about terror in general in the Rose Garden and that’s the last we’ll hear of it from him.
It was Michelle Obama that started the applause Tuesday night during the debate. The audience was told before hand not to display any reaction to what the candidates say. I know, rules are made for other people.
Romney did great during the second debate considering he was up against a President who seldom tells the truth, and a liberal pro-Oblama moderator. I hope America’s gift to Oblama will soon be rescinded.
I finished the book, “Last Man Standing,” by David Baldacci. I liked the whole book except the ending, it left me hanging. It was like an old western movie where the hero kisses his horse before he gets on and then rides off into the sunset leaving the ranch owner’s beautiful daughter standing there waving goodbye with tears running down her face. In this case it was the hero’s psychiatrist who was left standing. Yes, that’s right, heroes have problems too.
I’m currently over half way through the book, “Killing Kennedy” by Bill O’Reilly. The book is just getting into the actual events that happened in Dallas. Maybe I should say what they thought happened in Dallas, who knows.
Go Tigers and don’t get wet!
Until the next time . . .
