Burk’s Food Market was located at 40 N. Clinton Ave. While the man on the left is checking out the boxes of Chipso metal waste baskets the woman is heading home with her grocery bag full.
Pork roast was 18¢ lb, Crisco was 3lbs. for 49¢, 2-12oz cans of corn for 25¢, 3-no.2 cans of wax or green beans for 25¢, a no. 2 can of pitted cherries for 10¢, and a bag of Orient flour for 55¢.
Today it’s the location of Beebee’s State Farm Ins. at 220 N. Clinton Ave.
