Have you ever thought about giving back to your community by volunteering for a good cause?
If so, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in St. Johns is looking for you. The ReStore is seeking volunteer cashiers to work a few hours per week in its unique and growing retail store.
The ReStore is a fundraising branch of Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County and all store proceeds go to offset the costs of constructing and refurbishing homes right here in Clinton County. The ReStore sells a huge variety of new and used household and building items at deeply discounted prices. Currently, the busy ReStore is particularly in need of cashiers to greet shoppers and ring up purchases.
Volunteering at the ReStore is fun. When you join our team, you’ll see the amazing deals as they come in the back delivery door, and interact with our wonderful customers taking their treasures out the front door. You’ll know you’re helping build homes for Clinton County residents while keeping thousands of good, usable items out of landfills. The store is packed with treasures and our volunteers even get a store discount.
The ReStore needs volunteers Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 10am and 7pm. Even if you only have a few hours a week, the ReStore can put you to work.
The ReStore obtains most of its merchandise through donations by local businesses, building contractors, suppliers and individuals. Prices range from 30% off normal retail to just pennies on the dollar.
To support its fundraising efforts, the ReStore relies primarily on a crew of dedicated volunteers. The environment is relaxed and there is always something new and exciting coming through the delivery doors.
If you have a few hours available each week and would like to help Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County reach its goal of providing decent, affordable housing in our community, call store manager Ruth Clark at 989-227-0000, or stop by the store at 2532 N. US 27, St. Johns, just one mile north of M-21. Look for the big ReStore sign out front.
