Meg Dedyne represents Michigan

At America’s Homecoming Queen Pageant
It’s possible that America’s Homecoming Queen for 2013 may be a lovely young lady from St. Johns.
Meg Dedyne is headed to Memphis, Tenn. on July 20-24 where she will compete in the national pageant that’s coordinated by the America’s Homecoming Queen organization. The St. Johns High School graduate – who was the 2012-13 SJHS Queen – was crowned as Michigan’s Homecoming Queen at the state-wide pageant held this spring in Lansing.

Each state candidate will have opportunities to win cash scholarship for college tuition: one determined by judges at the pageant, and another that is voted on via on-line balloting during the pageant dates at America’s Homecoming Queen web site, http://www.americashomecomingqueen.com/

Meg is the daughter of Jim and Heather Dedyne of St. Johns. She will attend Michigan State University this fall, pursuing a degree in journalism.
As part of her entry into the national pageant, Meg submitted a video of her hometown to the AHQ organization that will be shown along with those of each state’s winners during ceremonies at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis. Check out the video that was edited and composed by another St. Johns student, Dominic DeLiso.
