More Habitat Volunteers
We appreciate all of our volunteers who have the heart to make a difference in their community through Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County. Our work as the largest fundraising effort in Clinton County is made possible by our volunteers. On Friday, October 25th three Emergent BioSolutions, Inc. employees – John Zimmer of DeWitt, Robert MacDonald of Howell, and Barry Quinn of St. Johns – refinished Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County’s staff bathroom through Emergent’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program. Barry is a regular volunteer at the Habitat ReStore with so many hours of volunteering that his volunteer timesheet at Emergent almost froze the system.
What does Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County ReStore in St. Johns do?
As the largest fundraising effort of Clinton County, the ReStore provides a way for volunteers to support the mission of Habitat without swinging a hammer. Run by two part-time employees and numerous volunteers, the ReStore accepts donated furniture, appliances and building materials for resale. The funds generated through the ReStore help fund the construction and renovation of homes right here in Clinton County. Integral to the success of the ReStore are the dedicated volunteers and generous donations.
Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County ReStore is currently seeking volunteers with a variety of interests and skills. If you are interested in volunteering or donating items please contact the store at 989-227-0000 or restore.manager@habitatclinton.org. We pick up donations weekly.
