Two-Day Event, March 15-16
The re-opening of the Clinton County Arts Council’s Gallery, following this year’s winter hours, will take on a new approach with a two day special event featuring St. Johns’ own Anna (Motz) Thelen. Ms. Thelen is a designer of baby clothing and her creations will be among the many attractions on display during the Saturday and Sunday March 15-16 event planned to open 2014 at the Gallery.
Gallery Director Michael Muehlenbeck expressed enthusiasm over the availability of Ms. Thelen, who lives and works in Chicago. “We were most fortunate to schedule Anna for this event,” he said. “Her calendar in Chicago is very demanding. She is looking forward to seeing many of her friends as we open the Gallery for a new year.”
Ms. Thelen’s designs include skirts, bloomers, trousers and jackets. Many of her concepts may be seen on her website www.stunningbaby.etsy.com
Special hours for this opening event will be Saturday March 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday’s hours reflect the normal Sunday Event open house, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The unique two-day opening, sponsored by Friends of the Gallery, will include refreshments each gathering.
