Easter Bunny Program and more
Celebrate Easter at the Library with the Easter Bunny! On Tuesday, April 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. the Easter Bunny will be hopping into the Library. There will be a snack, game, stories and a craft. Bring your own camera and take a picture with the Easter Bunny. Registration is required and opens for kids of all ages on Tuesday, March 11.
March is Reading Month
*Star Wars: Jedi Academy – The Star Wars: Jedi Academy is still accepting students. If you are between the ages of 6-8 and interested in testing your Jedi skills, then sign up today! On Tuesday, March 11 from 6:30-7:30 pm we will visit the Jedi Library, play Jedi games, and even enjoy a snack and some Yoda Soda. Young Jedi can come dressed in their favorite Star Wars clothing or costume and meet some very special guests direct from the Star Wars universe! *Fancy Nancy Party -Limited spaces left for the Tuesday, March 18th program from 6:30-7:30 pm for ages 4-7. Registration is required.
*LEGO Block Party – Saturday, March 22 from10-11:30 am for kids in 1st – 5th grade. This program will be at the Train Depot across from the Library. There are limited spaces left.
*All March is Reading Month Programs are for independent participants!
Adult Book Clubs
There is still a chance to read “Thirteen Reasons Why” before the Bookaholics meet on Thursday, March 20. In Jay Asher’s young adult novel, Jensen returns home to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, who committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life, and Clay is one of them. The first session of the book club will meet at the library at 12 pm, the second at Bruno’s Bar at 7:30 pm.
Toddler Storytime
!!Bounce into Books!! Toddlers ages 2-3 years old with an adult participant are welcome to join in the fun. The Wednesday a.m. and Thursday p.m. sessions are full but there is still some openings left in the Thursday morning sessions, 10-10:30 am, March 27 – May 1. Registration is required. Programs are designed with age appropriate stories, music, creative movement and crafts.
Library Fundraiser
The library will be hosting a fundraising sale from March 1st to March 31st. There will be audiobooks, VHS tapes and DVDs, plus a selection of new and used books available. Each item will sell for $1 with the proceeds being used to purchase new audio titles, new DVDs, and new large print and juvenile titles.
