Thursday March 24, 31
A second string of beading classes under the guidance of Deborah Laverty have been scheduled for the final two Thursdays in March. The sessions will run from 6:30p to 9p at the Clinton County Arts Council Gallery, 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns.
Ms Laverty has conducted beading sessions at the Gallery the past couple of years and many of her students have already registered for the up coming courses. Registration can be completed by calling the Gallery, 989 224-2429 or by contacting Ms Laverty direct, 517 775-0168. The sign up fee is $35.00 which includes necessary supplies, however, there is a minimum age of 14 to register.
Arts Council Director Mike Muehlenbeck explained that students will create a herringbone sparkle bracelet using seed beads incorporating the herringbone and ladder stitches. βItβs an easy assignment,β he commented and the result is a very attractive bracelet that draws rave comments.
Students planning on participating in the sessions are encouraged to arrive one-half hour ahead of class time to select their beads and work materials.
