Beginning the weekend of August 21
Summer art extends well into fall under a schedule of art classes for kids offered by Clinton County Arts Council. The popular summer-ending program returns this year with sessions beginning the weekend of August 21 with a final session Saturday Oct. 10. In keeping with the season, a class dealing with oils and autumn trees will convene in mid-September offered by artist Barb Darling, who has been an instructor in the series during previous years.
Summer Art Classes are open to kids ages six to 13. Fees for Council members is $10.00 per class; non-members $12.00 per class. For kids 6 to 9, classes will be held 10 a.m. to noon; ages 10-13, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The schedule:
Friday-Saturday, August 21/22 – a two-part class presented by artist
Makayla McCausey entitled “Nature Journaling.”
Saturday, September 19 – Oil painting on canvas “Autumn Trees,”
offered by artist Barb Darling.
Saturday, October 10 – “Fall Leaves” with artist Barb Darling.
