First Sunday Feature, August 1
Have you ever marveled at intricate paintings on delicate vases, wine glasses or other fragile items?
Well, you’ll get a close-up introduction to the process if you visit The Gallery during Clinton County Arts Council’s First Sunday open house August 8, 1 p.m. to 3 p. m.
Council member Laura Pulling will not only have many of her pieces on display, but will be adding to her collection throughout the two-hour period by taking brush in hand and painting fascinating designs and features onto selected items.
Ms Pulling generally works with vases, mirrors, jars and wine glasses along with other specialty items such as salt/pepper shakers and tile pieces. The latter provides her to work with smaller tiles than can be made into wonderful magnets for refrigerator door reminders or mementos. Many of the items mentioned will be part of her open house display.
As a usual feature, the August open house, sponsored by Stoney Creek Essential Oils, will feature refreshments.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. and details of any event or Arts Council activity may be learned by calling 989 224-2429.
