See enchanting animals, enticing tiles at Sunday event

June 2
An assortment of works in tiles and delightful stuffed animals headline the attractions offered during the June 2nd Sunday Event at Clinton County Arts Association’s Gallery.
Carla Alligood will be the featured artist during the monthly open house and her work with tiles spans from patio tables to kitchen counters. That seemingly practical approach is complimented by her lighter efforts in creating delightfully charming stuffed animals which capture the fascination of young and old alike.
Ms. Alligood, a relatively new addition to the roster of artists on display at the Gallery, not only offers her eclectic endeavors, but also serves among the docents who help maintain a regular schedule at the Gallery.
As usual, this monthly open house which has become a regular attraction at the Gallery will run Sunday June 2nd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with refreshments on the agenda. The June event is sponsored by First Bank of St. Johns.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding these monthly get-togethers – and other Council related activities – can be obtained by calling 989 224-2329 or visiting clintoncountyarts.com.
Activities of the Arts Council are made possible through generous sponsorships, such as offered by the Rotary Club and regular membership dues and donations. These sources are supplemented by periodic grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs which is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
