May 3 and 4
The regular first Sunday Event at the Gallery for the month of May has been expanded to two days – Saturday and Sunday May 3 and 4 – with a schedule of special events and activities set with “Mom” being the theme as her day approaches.

Headlining the featured attractions will be special jewelry displays by a number of Gallery artists; a card making table for children; a pie sale and an agenda of usual activities and happenings associated with the monthly open house, including refreshments.
Leading the list of jewelry artists will be Debra Laverty, who is a regular beading instructor of classes held at the Gallery. Joining Ms. Laverty will be Mary Armbrustmacher, Carla Alligood, Theressa Hubbard, Linda McCausey, Renee McCausy, Shantel Kovar, Mary Patterson and Lou Schimdtfranz. The ladies will be periodically on hand at the Gallery, displaying their specialty approaches to jewelry items of necklaces, bracelets and complimenting pieces, to attract the eye of every Mom.
Meanwhile, Carey Harris will conduct card making classes for children to honor Mom with special messages on her day. These classes will be free of charge following any Gallery gift purchase of $15 or more.
Finally, to help Mom remain out of the kitchen, a variety of home made pies will be available at an attractive price of $12 each.
Hours for the two days are: Saturday May 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday may 4, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Free refreshments will be served each day.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding this special Mother’s Day Event – and other Council related activities – can be obtained by calling 989 224-2429 or visiting clintoncountyarts.com.
