UAW Hall
In the early 1980s the UAW Local 925 after renting office space in downtown St. Johns decided to buy a building that became their new union hall.

The building, located on W. Walker St., is located on what used to be the site of a hotel. It was torn down and the original idea was to put an office building there. Plans were changed and the A&P grocery store relocated there from their 127 N. Clinton Ave. location. A&P eventually closed, and businesses that came later included Gambles and Video Land.
