These three members of the St. Johns Lions Club were hawking tickets in this photo and one of their early sales was made to Clinton County News Publisher, Ron Huard.
Lions Club members were in the process of selling tickets to their annual fund raising show that featured the return of Russell Algaier, the blind pianist, who had appeared in St. Johns for the Lions on two previous occasions.
Doug Carpenter was a shipping department supervisor at Federal-Mogul. Gayle Desprez was a vice-president at Clinton National Bank & Trust. Charles Barnes’ employment is unknown.
