Clinton Memorial Honorary Auxiliary Members

Named honorary members at the May 16, 1973 annual meeting of the Clinton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary are (from left) Mrs. Beulah Ballentine, Mrs. Tom (Della) Corkin, Mrs. Rex (Ruth) Sirrine (charter member of the original Auxiliary and was still an active member), Mrs. Robert Merrill and Mrs. William (Minna or Wilhelmina) Leucht.
This photo was a sign of the times when women generally went by their husband’s name. Mrs. Robert Merrill was notable school teacher, Teresa Merrill who taught at East Ward, served as principal, and for whom the school was renamed.
