by Barry Bauer

On Saturday, July 24, 1937, the St. Joseph Catholic Parish celebrated its 30th anniversary of the location of the Parish on its present site. Entertainers Uncle Howdy, Uncle Earl, and their juvenile radio troupe were thanked for their enjoyable program by Rev. W. G. Bath, the pastor. Various amusement booths were busy throughout the 2-day event.
Refreshment were served Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon; 1,300 people enjoyed a chicken dinner in the basement of the church.
The picnic and celebration was one of the largest and most successful ever put on by St. Joseph Parish.
