In 1932, Clem “Batman” Sohn sent a postcard from South Dakota to his cousin, Ed Motz, back in St. Johns, Michigan. This was five years before Clem’s fatal jump at an airport in Vincennes, France.

Dear Folks,
Hope you are all feeling fine. Well everything is going fine and am jumping right along. We have been doing a lot of traveling through Minn., Wis., Iowa, and S. Dakota. I don’t know were (where) we are going next, and don’t know when I will be home. I guess we are going to the Black Hills today.
