Baker’s Business and Corporate Services Division is offering two welding workshops in August.
“Basic Welding Maintenance and Repair” will focus on preserving and reconditioning equipment. Participants will learn to repair weld imperfections or damaged products using arc processes along with techniques for cleaning, cutting, bending, and grinding metal materials. This two-part session is scheduled on August 10 and 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Baker’s Tech Center, Welding Lab Room 1641. Cost is $145.
In “Fundamentals of Cutting, Torching and Layout”, students will learn how to prepare parts for welding in a hands-on setting. This class will teach participants basic safety practices in welding and proper set up of an acetylene torch and plasma cutter to make a variety of cuts.
This two-part workshop is offered on August 24 and 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Baker’s Tech Center, Welding Lab Room 1641. Cost is $145.
