Hybrid Technology Safety Training at Baker

Baker’s Business and Corporate Services is offering First Responder Safety Training for Hybrid Technology in June.
Continuing our series on Hybrid Technology, Baker College of Owosso is taking registrations now for this seminar focusing on safety for emergency response personnel. Ideal for first responders as well as automotive technicians, salvage technicians, and technical training instructors, this workshop provides both classroom discussion and lab demonstration on a cutaway vehicle where cable placement may be observed.
Course content will provide the necessary knowledge to be able to respond safely to hybrid vehicle accident scenarios and will include the following:
– Hybrid systems safety and operation
– High voltage system component locations/cable routing
– Auxiliary battery hidden locations and disconnects
– Remote terminal locations/jump starting
– Re-energizing the high voltage battery
– Approach and handling at collision scenes
– Emergency precautions and shutdown procedures
Mr. Jack Larmor, a State of Michigan and ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, will facilitate this workshop. He has completed hybrid training classes with ACDC, a national leader in hybrid training. Mr. Larmor has coordinated, taught and developed automotive curriculum for several years in all 8 areas of ASE Certification.
