City Recreation Volleyball Leagues
New Basketball League to start in January 2012
Start getting your 2012 team around now for the new 5 v 5 Men’s Basketball League. Information and registrations forms are now available on the website and at the City Offices. Games will be played on Thursday evenings at the middle school beginning January 12, 2012. The first games will begin at 6:40 p.m. and will be scheduled every 50 minutes with the last games beginning play at 9:10 p.m.
The league is a 7-8 week season ending with a tournament if weather permits. All team registration forms and $200 team fee must be returned to the City Offices by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011. The player fees are $10.00 for City Residents and $15.00 for Non-City Residents. The rosters, waiver forms and player fees are due Friday December 16, 2011. The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for adult women’s volleyball leagues. The league is set to begin Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Due to limited space available the number of teams allowed in the City league will be restricted. Registration packets are available online or can be picked-up and dropped off at the City Offices, located at 100 East State Street on the first floor of the Clinton County Courthouse, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The registration deadline is Friday, December 2, 2011. Packets received after December 2nd will incur a $25.00 late fee or will not be accepted if league is full. Packets must be completely filled out before they will be accepted. Cost per team is $185.00 plus $10.00 for each City resident and $19.00 for each Non-City of St. Johns resident on the roster.
