Summer Softball League sign-up approaching

Registration packets for the 2013 City of St. Johns Women’s, Men’s, Co-ed and Church softball leagues are available and can be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the City Offices. Returning teams from the 2012 summer and fall leagues can register on March 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2013. New teams can register on March 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2013.
Leagues are limited to the first 10 teams that register and pay the $250 team fee. There will be a $15 late fee for any team fees paid after March 22nd – no exceptions. The roster, waiver form, player and capital improvement fees are due no later than Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Rosters, waiver forms and player fees received after April 24th may be dropped from the league. Cost for the league is $250 for women’s and men’s league ten game schedule. There are also additional player and capital improvement fees (see registration form for details). The season will begin the week of May 6, 2013 with men playing on Wednesday nights and women on Thursday nights. Men’s Tuesday Night Double Header League plays 20 games and costs $500 per team plus the player and capital improvement fees.
Church league sign-up deadline is April 26, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with rosters and waivers due May 24, 2013. The co-ed church league is a six-week season, played on Sunday nights, starting June 2, 2013. Game times will be 4:00, 5:10, 6:20 and 7:30 depending on the number of teams that sign up. The cost for the league is $150.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees. Umpires will be used this year.
Back again this year will be the addition of a regular (non-church) Co-Ed Softball League. Co-Ed league sign-up deadline is April 26, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with rosters and waivers due May 24, 2013. The co-ed league is a six-week season, played on Sunday nights, starting June 2, 2013. Umpired game times will be 5:00, 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. depending on the number of teams that sign up. The cost for the league is $150.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees. Umpires will be used this year.
