Adult Book Clubs and much more
Copies of “The Witness Wore Red” are still available. In her autobiography, Rebecca Musser writes of her life on a polygamous compound. In her teens she became the nineteenth wife of her people’s prophet: 85-year-old Rulon Jeffs, and watched as 48 additional wives were added to her marriage. Finally sickened by the abuse she suffered and saw around her, she pulled off a daring escape, and would later return to aid law enforcement in a raid and trial against the Jeffs family. Pick up your copy and then meet our book clubs on Thursday, May 15 at either the library at noon or at Bruno’s Bar at 7:30pm.
LEGO Block Party
There are two options available: Children ages 4-6 can build with Duplo blocks at the library on Thursday, June 5 from 6:30-7:30pm OR children in grades 1-5 can build with traditional LEGOs on Saturday, June 7 from 10-11am. The Saturday session will meet at the train depot across from the library. These programs are for independent participants, and registration for both programs is required and begins Thursday, May 8.
