Schwan’s Truck Load Sale and more
The Schwan’s Truck will be in front of the Library on Tuesday June 15th from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm to assist the Library in raising funds to purchase materials for the facility. There are three ways you can participate in the fundraiser: 1. Purchase items the day of the event. 2. Reserve products online for pick up at the Library the day of the event. Go to www.schwansfundraising.com and use Campaign ID: 28675. 3. Order a Gift Certificate by calling 1-888-SCHWANS, select option 4 and provide the Campaign ID: 28675. The Certificate will ship to the address of your choice. Gift Certificates are a great way to help the Library and still support your local driver if you are already receiving delivery at your residence. Junior Readers
Registration is currently taking place for the Saturday June 26th program from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Sailors ages 7-9 can pick up a copy of the book Shark Tooth Tale by Abby Klein at the Library desk. Discussion, snacks and activities will be part of the program that day.
Shark Zone Tweens
Registration for the July 26th Tween program will begin June 28th. The program is designed for ages 9-12 and is from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Library Closure
The Library will be closed Saturday July 3rd and Monday July 5th for the Independence Day Holiday. The book drop will be open for returns during this closure.
Storytime Guest Reader
Local author, Peggy House will be a guest reader at the Tuesday July 6th Pre-Reader and Preschool Storytimes. Her book titled Junk Food Gordon will be available for purchase afterwards. Books are $11.95.
Summer Reading Program
This year’s summer reading program theme is all about water. Make A Splash…Read is designed for infant through 12 years of age. There will be weekly guessing contests and activity sheets. Children can sign up at the Library desk to track their reading time for rewards. Making Waves is for teens ages 13-18 or for youth who have completed at least sixth grade. Young Adults sign up to read and complete reading logs for prizes.
