Pre-Reader Storytime and more
Winter Pre-reader storytimes for independent readers ages 4 thru 6 is coming in January 2011. The children will listen to stories, participate in games, musical movement, crafts and more. Sessions available are Tuesday mornings 10:30 – 11:00 am, January 18th – February 22nd or Thursday evenings 6:30 – 7:00 pm, January 20th – February 24th. Registration is required and opens on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.
Mitten Tree and Toys for Tots
Briggs Public Library is collecting new mittens or gloves (Homemade or Store-bought), scarves and hats for the less fortunate. The collection is for all ages, adult or child. The collection runs until December 11th and the items received will be donated to local charity organizations. Briggs Public Library is also a “Toys for Tots” location accepting new, unwrapped toys and gift items for young children through teens in the box near the Library Desk. The Toys for Tots collection runs until December 16th.
Library Closures:
Briggs Public Library will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Friday December 24th and Saturday December 25th and on Friday December 31st and Saturday January 1st for the New Year’s holiday. The Drop Box on the Library porch will be available for all returns throughout these closures.
