Facebook and more
The Library now has a Facebook page. Interested parties can access the page either through the link at the bottom, left corner of the library’s web site or by going to the following URL http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Briggs-Public-Library/108110439230378. Visit the page for information on programs, upcoming closures, and to review and discuss books.
Fall Storytimes
There are a few openings in each session of Friday morning and Monday evening Lap-sit and Wednesday morning and Thursday evening Toddler story-times. The sessions provide stories, music, fingerplays, and creative movement. Registration is required for these free programs. Call for times and days still available. Start your fall season with story-times at the library!
eBooks
In addition to downloadable audiobooks, Briggs Public Library has expanded this service to include eBooks. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://fuelyourmind.lib.overdrive.com. or by following the link on the Library’s website.
Users may browse the fuel your mind website or look for titles in the Library’s catalog. Interested individuals may check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. For audiobooks: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees! Contact the Library for additional information or for assistance accessing the collection.
Library Closure
The Library will be closed on Saturday September 3rd and Monday September 5th for the Labor Day Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns throughout this closure.
