Schwan’s Fundraiser and more
The Schwan’s truck will be in front of the Briggs Public Library on Wednesday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to assist the library in raising funds for the purchase of a laptop and projector. The equipment will be used to help facilitate outreach programs to area senior residential facilities and for programs at the library like computer literacy classes. There are three ways you can participate in the fundraiser:
1. Purchase items the day of the event.
2. Reserve products online for pick up at the Library the day of the event. Go to www.schwansfundraising.com and use campaign Id: 36543.
3. Order a gift certificate(s) by calling 1-888-SCHWANS, inform the representative you want to purchase a gift card(s) and provide the campaign Id: 36543 or go to www.schwan’s.com, click on the gift card link and follow the directions including entering the campaign Id: 36543. The certificate will ship to address of your choice. Gift certificates are a great way to help the library and still support your local driver if you are already receiving delivery at your residence. Pre-Reader Storytimes
There are a few spaces available in the Tuesday morning (10:30-11) and Thursday evening (6:30-7) storytimes! Sign up your 4,5,& 6 year old independent listener for “NEW” fall stories. They will enjoy listening to new books about hens, termites, dogs, penguins, sharks, an orangutan, rabbits, llamas, dragons, pumpkins, leaves and too many other subjects to list. There will be games, crafts, snacks or music to enhance the stories read. Sign up now for these free programs.
Mama Mia Pizzeria!
October is National Pizza Month. Join the Junior Readers Book Club for a Pizza Party Extravaganza! Registration for the Monday October 24th program from 7:00-8:00 pm opens Monday September 26th. The program is designed for youth ages 7-9. Read Pete & Penny’s Pizza Puzzles by Aaron Rosenberg. Copies are available for pick up at the Library desk. The program will include lots of fun activities, discussion, a game, a craft and making individual pizzas.
