Coming up at the Briggs
Tween Program
Ride on over to the Library on Tuesday April 17th from 7-8 pm for the “Wild West Tween Roundup.” Participants will enjoy Cowboy and Cowgirl Stories, Oregon Trail Snacks, Dodge City Hangman (game), and a Campfire Craft. Registration is required and is open to all Tweens ages 9-12 beginning Tuesday, March 20th.
Usborne Books and More Fundraiser
Usborne Books & More is a leading publisher of children’s and young adult books. Usborne has over 1100 titles. Books that are fun and educational are the goal of the company. Usborne publishes books that are high quality–plus affordable. There will be a Book Fair on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 3:00am to 8:00pm and Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 9:30-12:00 at the Briggs Public Library.
The Book Fair will benefit your child (interesting, educational reading material), you (very affordable prices and getting to watch your child LOVE to read) and Briggs Public Library. Peruse at your leisure and take the books you purchase home with you. Brenda Miller, Usborne Books & More consultant, will be on hand to answer questions for those not familiar with Usborne Books. Payment for the books can be cash, check (made out to Brenda Miller) or credit card. You can also find Usborne online at www.UsborneKidzone.com Your purchases at the Book Fair will help Briggs Public Library earn credit towards children’s books.

All Aboard the Toddler Train!

Children ages 2-3 years old with an adult are welcome to join us for a ride through storyland. We will enjoy fun with music, creative movement, crafts and of course age appropriate books. There is still space available in the Wednesday morning sessions from 10 to 10:30 or 11 to 11:30, March 28th-May 2nd. Join us in traveling through stories by train and other forms of transportation. Registration is required.
Library Closure
The Library will be closed on Friday April 6th in observance of Good Friday and on Saturday April 7th for the Easter Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns throughout this closure.
As of Thursday, April 5, 2012 the Fowler drop box will no longer be available for returns due to the new library fine policy.
