Mark your calendars for the third Wednesday of each month in 2011! For the third consecutive year, Carson City Hospital (CCH) offers its monthly Brown Bag Lunch Series.
Each month, CCH hosts a new, exciting speaker with topics ranging from inspirational and educational to important health-care advice. The Brown Bag Lunch Series takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Conference Room A in the hospital. Bring a lunch or enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and treats! No registration is necessary and everyone is welcome.
The Brown Bag session scheduled for Wednesday, September 21, is titled “What’s In Your Medicine Cabinet?” with pharmacist Beverly Holland.
Chances are, when you use up every-day items – anything from bread to batteries – you put them on a list and pick them up the next time you go shopping. But are you that diligent with your medicine cabinet?
Learn about the risks of taking expired medications or medications that aren’t yours, medication interactions, and what to do with medicines you don’t want anymore. Holland will also discuss other pharmacy-related topics, and will give the audience the opportunity to ask questions.
