Brown Bag, Mum Sale and Chili Cook-Off

“What’s In Your Medicine Cabinet?” with Beverly Holland, our resident pharmacist! Would you ever dream of serving milk long after its expiration date? Probably not. Are you that diligent with your medicine cabinet? Learn about the risks of taking expired medications or medications that aren’t yours, medication interactions, and what to do with medicines you don’t want anymore. Bring your questions to Carson City Hospital’s Conference Room A from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on September 21.

The Carson City Hospital Auxiliary is hosting its popular annual Mum Sale on Wednesday, September 21, beginning at 11 a.m. in front of the hospital at 406 E. Elm Street, Carson City, MI 48811. For more information, contact Marie Lynn Watts at 989-584-3971 ext. 169. A Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for this same day, and the mums will also be available for sale at that event in the hospital lobby.
When you stop by to buy a mum from the hospital auxiliary, you can also come to a Chili Cook-Off on Wednesday, September 21, outside the administration entrance to the hospital. Open to the public, the chili cook-off participants will set up between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., with judging from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bring your family recipe to compete for first prize and the title of “CCH Chili King or Queen!”

Cost to purchase after judging is complete will be $1 per bowl.
