The newly formed Carson Foundation, a local, non-profit organization committed to enhancing health and wellness resources in Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia and Clinton counties, has named its inaugural Board of Directors.
“We feel that the Carson Foundation will be another significant component that ensures continued high quality health care for the families and communities that we serve,” said Gary Copp, owner of Carson City Lumber and first elected Chairman of the Board. Joining Gary on the Board will be Nancy Fenn, Robert Myers, Dave Freestone, M.D., Stella Cash and Matt Thompson.
“These individuals were hand-picked because of their commitment to investing in the future of local health care, and their passion for philanthropic causes. I am excited to see what this group is able to do,” said Matt Thompson, President & CEO of Carson Health and Carson Foundation Board Member.
The Carson Foundation Board of Directors will meet on a regular basis to oversee the planning of community fund drives, events, planned giving and memorial donations.
