Two area students were awarded scholarships from the Carson City Hospital Auxiliary (CCHA) to be used during the 2010-2011 academic year. Each year, the CCHA chooses two local students to award $500 grants for costs associated with attending college.
Emily Cunningham of Hubbardston and Grant Reeves of Ithaca were this school year’s recipients of the annual CCHA scholarship award.
Cunningham, a graduate of Carson City-Crystal High School, plans to attend Grand Valley State University. She has worked at Carson City Hospital for three years in the hospital pharmacy and the Carson Apothecary Shoppe.
Reeves, a graduate of Ithaca High School, is attending Central Michigan University to study pre-medicine. He graduated summa cum laude, and participated in cross-country, basketball and track during his high school years.
