Celebrate Winter Jan. 29

With Auxiliary’s 3rd Annual Snow Day
By January 29 the excitement of the holidays will have gone its way leaving a perfect time to pay tribute to old man winter during Sparrow Clinton Auxiliary’s third annual “Snow Day at the Emerald.” Mark that as a red letter day on your calendar with the list of activities to begin at 3 p.m.
That list will include such outdoor activities as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking around the Emerald golf course and, of course, the popular late afternoon and evening bonfire offering a perfect venue for marshmallow roasting.

Ann Stine Hufnagel, Robin Motz Ingalls and Cindy Knight offered their suggestions to the group and smiles for the camera. Ms Ingalls serves as co-chair with Kathie Clock.

If you’re an insider, there’ll be cards and Wii games along with musical entertainment by the Bill Brown band. “We’re very pleased that Bill has again volunteered his time with us,” commented co-chair Kathie Clock. “Bill’s unique style of entertainment lends a spirited setting to this event.”
As you mark your calendar and prepare for the date, Auxiliary members are currently busy contacting area businesses, recruiting participants for the featured chili cook off and hot cocoa competition. The first chili contest was won by Robin Motz Ingalls and Dean Mazzolini captured the second match. Last year the hot chocolate contest was added and won by Anita Rositas. Each event provided much interest and enthusiasm to the day’s theme.
Tickets to “Snow Day” include not only the offered activities, but also a hot dog, hamburger and fixings dinner along with an open bar. Where else can you enjoy such a festive setting for only $15.00?
“We’re looking forward to another fun day at the Emerald,” Ms Clock said. “As with most Auxiliary’s projects, this event is planned with intentions to raise funds for the hospital. We anticipate this year’s outing will be even more successful that the previous two.” Robin Motz Ingalls is serving as co-chair.
