On Saturday, December 4 the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce will hold its 9th Annual Christmas Festival at the CC RESA Building (across from McDonalds) in St. Johns.
The day will include a Breakfast with Santa (8-10:30 am), Festival of Trees and Craft Show (8 am – 3 pm), Children’s Make it and Take it Crafts (Noon-3 pm) and new this year Blitzen the Reindeer (9 am – Noon).
Tickets for the Breakfast with Santa are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under (with children 2 and under free) and are available at the Chamber of Commerce office or Big Boy in St. Johns. Purchase of advance tickets are encouraged for the breakfast since Santa will have limited time to spend at the event. Only those participating in the breakfast will be able to get pictures with Santa – please bring your own camera.
Whether you are looking for that perfect gift for Great Aunt Millie or just a friend, you are sure to find the right thing at the Craft Show during the Christmas Festival. There will be over 50 vendors on hand selling candles, soaps, solar lights, kitchen towels, wood products, jewelry and much, much more. There are still a few spaces available if you would like a booth.
If beautiful trees are your thing you should come to the RESA Building just to see the wonderfully decorated Christmas trees. You can even vote for your favorite with a donation in the jar by the tree you like best. The tree that collects the most votes (most money) will get to decide which charity gets all the money collected.
The Make It and Take It Crafts are always a big hit. Each craft costs between .50 and $1 and children can make things for themselves or gifts for loved ones for Christmas. You can also buy the individual kits and make them at home.
The Chamber is excited to have Blitzen at the festival this year. He will be right outside the door into the festival so kids can stop and see him on the way in and out. He loves to get his picture taken, so don’t forget to bring your camera.
