Pilgrim United Methodist Church has been raising money for mosquito nets through their church’s No More Malaria campaign this year.
They will be showing the film Mary and Martha. Mary and Martha is a 2013 British-American television film starring Hilary Swank and Brenda Blethyn, and directed by Phillip Noyce. The film tells the story of two very different women, Mary (Hilary Swank) and Martha (Brenda Blethyn), who both lose their sons to malaria.
This film will be shown at the church on Friday, May 30th at 7:00 PM. The youth will be serving popcorn and drinks. There will be a free will offering that evening.
Pilgrim United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Parks and DeWitt Roads just south of St. Johns.
