Sculpture to be unveiled

An unveiling event will be held this week to dedicate the newest art sculpture in St. Johns.
The new stainless steel sculpture titled “Opolis” is approximately 12 feet tall and was installed at Rotary Park in St. Johns near the historic train depot. The art installation is made possible by a Public Art for Communities Grant from the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP).
Sculpture Dedication Ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Rotary Park, near the intersection of Railroad St. and Clinton Ave. in St. Johns.
LEAP President/CEO Bob Trezise, artist Tim Higgins, and City of St. Johns staff will give a few words at the ceremony.
The public are welcome to attend the event.
