Zumba, Ballroom and Line Dancing being offered

Tired of the treadmill and looking for a fun way to stay fit and healthy? The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
The 5 week Zumba sessions will be held at the St. Johns Banquet and Conferences Center on Tuesdays from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Fall Session I begins on September 14th and runs until October 12th. Fall Session II begins on October 19th and runs until November 16th. Cost for a Zumba session is $20 per five-week session per person for City Residents and $25 for non-City Residents. You can also drop in each night and pay $5 as a city resident or $6 as a non-city resident. Drop-ins are allowed only if space permits. Most sessions have been filling up so it is highly recommended that you pre-register with the city offices before the first day of class.
Ballroom and Line Dancing and back again for another session. Kick up your heels and let dancing give your mind and body a great workout. The 6-week sessions for Ballroom or Line Dancing will be held on Mondays. Session I begins September 13th and ends October 18th. Session II begins October 25th and ends November 29th. The Line Dancing Class will meet from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. and the Ballroom class will meet from 7:45 – 8:45 p.m. All classes meet at the St. Johns Banquet and Conference Center on the 2nd Floor. Classes will be taught by instructors from Soft on the Feet Dancing.
Cost for each dance class for each 6-week session is $50 per person for city residents and $60 per person for non-city residents. See the registration form for discounts for signing up for multiple classes. Drop in rates are $10 for city residents and $12 for non-city residents. Drop-ins are allowed only if space permits. You must reside within the City Limits to qualify as a City Resident. You may have a St. Johns mailing address but not live within the city limits. Please wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes to dance in. Tennis shoes are not recommended for the ballroom class. You may want to bring a bottle of water to drink.
